Spring 2014 Beginner's Level Irish Conversation Session

Day/Time: Every Tuesday, 7pm - 8pm EST

Dates: February 4, 2014 - April 29, 2014

Price: $40

Required Equipment: 
  • Computer OR Smartphone.
  • Broadband or DSL internet connection.
  • Headset with microphone OR separate microphone and speakers. 


Description: This 8-week session will provide beginning learners of the Irish language with a basic understanding of the structure of the language, as well as a strong foundation of basic conversational skills. More structured than the Intermediate/Advanced level session, this session will resemble an online course in that certain lessons will be taught and reviewed each week, but no 'homework' will necessarily be assigned to the participants.
Spring 2014 Upper Level Irish Conversation Session

Day/Time: Every Thursday, 7pm - 8pm EST

Dates: February 6, 2014 - May 1, 2014

Price: $40

Required Equipment: 
  • Computer OR Smartphone.
  • Broadband or DSL internet connection.
  • Headset with microphone OR separate microphone and speakers. 


Description: This 8-week session will provide intermediate and/or advanced speakers of Irish with a chance to practice their spoken Irish with other speakers on a regular basis. Conversation topics will be sent to participants beforehand, to give them a chance to prepare subject matter, questions, or vocabulary for the particular topic ahead of time. Although The conversations themselves will be structured and directed throughout the hour, participants are encouraged to talk as much as possible and get their chance to practice their Irish language skills with others.
